Beginning Swimming. Swim Hawaii offers beginning classes for children, age 4 and above.
Emphasis is placed on mastering fundamental skills in Freestyle & Backstroke.
Beginning Classes for Adults are also offered.
Super Swim. Swim Hawaii created “Super Swim” to take swimmers beyond beginning swimming.
A unique part of Super Swim is the “Long Swim.” Following the initial 25 minutes of stroke instruction, swimmers participate in 15 to 20 minutes of endurance swimming under the supervision of staff specifically assigned to this activity.
Freestyle Stroke Clinic. Swim Hawaii offers the Freestyle Stroke Clinic for Competitive Swimmers, Triathletes, Masters, and recreational swimmers to improve their stroke mechanics.
Swim Hawaii has offered swimming instruction since 1986. The Founder and Director is Dr. Jan Prins, former U.H. Head Swim Coach and Associate Professor in Biomechanics, at the University of Hawaii.
